Shop with a Hero

The Dalton Police Department partners with the Dalton Fire Department each year to raise money for the annual Shop With a Hero event.  The event, which takes place at Walmart on Shugart Road, is held for a group of children identified by the Dalton Public School system as being less-fortunate.  The children are escorted throughout the store by officers and firefighters to pick out toys and clothes.  Shop With a Hero was able to provide for 19 children in 2021.
