Library Board (Dalton/Whitfield County)

The Dalton/Whitfield County Library Board is a joint endeavor of the City of Dalton and the Whitfield County government. The board oversees the operations of the Dalton/Whitfield Public Library which is located at 310 Cappes Street. The Dalton/Whitfield Public Library is part of the Northwest Georgia Regional Library System which also serves residents in Calhoun/Gordon County and Chatsworth/Murray County.

The City of Dalton's Mayor and Council appoints members to represent Dalton on the joint City-County board. 

The Dalton/Whitfield County Library Board is comprised of Patrick Townsend, Judy Jolly, Frances "Bitsy" McFarland, and City Council Liaison Steve Farrow.
