Police Investigating A Very Fragrant Crime
Thursday, November 9th, 2023
The Dalton Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify two suspects who shoplifted more than $1,000 in fragrances from a local beauty store. Investigators have surveillance images of the suspects, but unfortunately they are not scratch-n-sniff.
The incident happened on October 9th at the Ulta Beauty store on West Walnut Avenue. At approximately 7:50 pm, the two suspects, a white man and woman, entered the store and began to place merchandise into a large tote bag. They left the store two minutes later without paying for the stolen items. Store management reported that the items taken were all men's and women's fragrances valued at a total of $1,191. The store's manager believes that the same two individuals were also involved in another theft from the store in a prior incident.
