DPD Investigating Theft Of Lost Wallet
Thursday, June 20th, 2024
The Dalton Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify two individuals who took a wallet from a Dalton store after it was dropped by its owner. The incident was recorded on surveillance video.
The incident happened in April at the Money Saver store at 1107 East Walnut Avenue. The victim told police that she lost her wallet in the store and that it was gone when she returned. Surveillance video shows her dropping the wallet and later a man and woman walk up and seem to notice the wallet. The man was then recorded bending over to pick up the wallet and conceal it. The wallet was light pink and it had an identification card, two bank cards, and a gold iPhone 14 inside. The victim was unable to track her iPhone because the phone had been turned off.
The suspects are a man who wore a black tank top and a black hat with facial hair and extensive tattoos on both arms. The woman also wore a black tank top and had dark hair. Both are pictured in the image at right and below.
If you know who these individuals are, please contact Officer Jennifer Nunez at 706-278-9085, extension 9-648.
