Railroad Maintenance Coming In September

Railroad Crossing

An upcoming maintenance project at railway crossings could cause traffic delays in the Dalton/Whitfield County area next month. The CSX railroad will be conducting maintenance at crossings beginning in mid-September with the work that will affect Whitfield County tentatively planned to start September 28th. 

The crossings that will be affected in Whitfield County are:

  • E. Emory St. (Double track), Dalton
  • E. Morris St. (Double track), Dalton
  • W. Hawthorne St., Dalton
  • N. Selvidge St., Dalton
  • W. Tyler St., Dalton
  • Willow Dale Rd., Dalton
  • Beaver Rd.
  • Lake Katherine Rd.
  • Oak St., Tunnel Hill
