What Should You Do?
The City of Dalton has directed people to avoid gatherings of ten people and to self-isolate as much as possible. If you must be out in public, we recommend leaving at least six feet between yourself and other people.
Wash your hands frequently. Use an antibacterial soap or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer and scrub your hands for at least 20 seconds.
Avoid touching your face, especially with unwashed hands.
Stay home if you are sick, especially with symptoms such as a fever, dry cough, or difficulty breathing.
Sanitize frequently touched surfaces such as doorknobs, handrails, countertops, etc.
The CDC now recommends wearing some type of cloth mask covering the nose and mouth when in public places. Not necessarily when outdoors but within buildings. Use of face masks is required inside City of Dalton-owned buildings. Read more information from the CDC on masks.
