The City of Dalton's Communications Department is dedicated to improving the quality of communications between City departments, staff, and leaders with the community we serve. The Communications Department is part of the City's Administration and serves as the main point of contact for media inquiries to the City and manages the City's online presence through this website and also social media services. The Communications Department also works to improve internal communications with the City's employees and stakeholders.

Communications Director Bruce Frazier is a graduate of the University of Georgia's Henry W. Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication (Go Dawgs!). Before joining the City of Dalton in 2008, he served as a sports reporter and anchor at WDNN-TV (Dalton), WNEG-TV (Toccoa), and WRBL-TV (Columbus). In 2008 he joined the Dalton Police Department as the agency's Public Relations Specialist for the City's public safety agencies. In 2019, he moved to City Hall to expand his role to manage communications for the City as a whole.
