Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!

The City Hall Christmas tree

Merry Christmas and Happiest of Holidays from the City of Dalton!

2021 has been a year of challenges and triumphs in our city and beyond, and as we begin to turn our attention to a New Year, we hope that everyone in Dalton has the greatest year ever in 2022. We can't wait to get to work on everything on our agendas in the year to come, as we continue our work to remake Market Street and our interstate entry corridors, build new walking and running trails to Haig Mill Lake Park, build new soccer facilities, continue work on a new aquatics center, and so much more. Big things are coming to Dalton!

City offices will be closed on Friday, December 24th and Monday, December 27th to allow our employees to observe the Christmas holiday. Information on how garbage/recycling/refuse collections will be scheduled around the holiday can be found by clicking here. And, of course, our emergency services and first responders from the Dalton Police Department, Dalton Fire Department, and Public Works will remain on duty or on call to serve you.

However you plan to celebrate this holiday season, we hope these days will be happy for you! We can't wait to see what 2022 has in store for our city.
