Meet Our New Assistant City Administrator!

Monday, August 28th, 2023

There will be a "meet and greet" reception with new Assistant City Administrator Todd Pangle on Tuesday, September 5th from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm at City Hall. The public is invited to have a chance to introduce themselves and network with Pangle, who is moving to the City's administration after serving as Chief of the Dalton Fire Department.

While he's new in his role at City Hall, Todd Pangle is well known in Dalton. He is a lifelong resident of Dalton and Whitfield County. He joined in Dalton Fire Department in 1997 and has served in supervisory roles with the department for more than 17 years. He became Chief in March of 2017.

Pangle began his new role as Assistant City Administrator on Monday. Pangle will work with City Administrator Andrew Parker to serve as the primary liaison to certain City departments, authorities, and commissions as well as overseeing a set of special projects. Deputy Fire Chief Mike Russell was named as the DFD's Interim Chief at a special called meeting of the Dalton Public Safety Commission on Friday, August 25th. A search for a permanent successor is underway.

Light refreshments will be served at the meet and greet on Tuesday evening, which will be held in the City Hall atrium.
