Holiday Schedule - Garbage/Recycling Pickup And City Offices

UPDATE (12/29): The New Year's Day holiday will be observed on Monday, January 3rd and city offices will be closed. Monday, January 3rd there will also be no garbage/recycling or refuse pickups. Those pickups will take place on Tuesday, January 4th and the rest of the week will be collected as usual.

With the holiday season upon us, the City of Dalton's offices will be closed several times in the coming weeks to allow our staff time to celebrate the holidays.

City offices will be closed Friday, December 24th, Monday, December 27th for the Christmas holiday. Offices will again be closed on Monday, January 3rd in observance of the New Year's Day holiday. 

Garbage, recycling, and refuse collection will be affected by the holidays. Pickups for Monday, December 20th through Thursday, December 23rd will take place as usual. Homes that have regularly scheduled Friday pickups will not be serviced on the 24th and instead be picked up on Thursday, December 23rd. Homes that usually are serviced on Mondays will not be picked up on December 27th. Instead, they will be picked up on Tuesday, December 28th. The rest of the week's schedule will take place as usual.

Monday, January 3rd there will also be no garbage/recycling or refuse pickups. Those pickups will take place on Tuesday, January 4th and the rest of the week will be collected as usual.
