The City of Dalton is requesting bids for services consisting of stormwater infrastructure improvements titled PRATER ALLEY STORMWATER DETENTION PROJECT.

Services consist of installing an underground detention pond with an above-ground pond bid alternate to provide flood storage. The work includes, but is not limited to, the removal of trees, excavation, grading, R-Tank system for the below-ground pond, and a modular retaining wall for the above-ground pond. Approximately 0.96 acres will be disturbed during construction. The work shall be done as directed by the plans developed by Arcadis-U.S., Inc. All work shall be performed according to the latest Georgia D.O.T. Standards and Specifications.

The advertisement for bids will be open starting on Monday, May 15, 2023. Sealed bids will be received by City of Dalton until June 15, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. A Mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 1:00 PM on May 25th, 2023 at the Public Works Office located at 535 Elm Street Dalton, Georgia 30721. Bid submissions will be for furnishing supervision, materials, labor and equipment required for satisfactorily completing the specified work for a 24-week period beginning tentatively on July 3, 2023.

In order to be considered a responsive bidder, the contractor must be in compliance with the Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act and shall submit with their bid, a signed and notarized affidavit verifying its compliance with O.C.G.A. §13-10-91.
