Lane Closure Will Affect Morris Street Traffic

Sidewalk repairs and improvements will force the closure of the eastbound lane of Morris Street adjacent to the City of Refuge building for the rest of the week. Detour signs will be placed in the area to re-route traffic, but motorists should plan alternate routes to avoid delays.

The work will begin Tuesday morning, December 5th. A crew from the Dalton Public Works Department will be repairing and replacing the section of sidewalk on the south side of Morris Street between Railroad Street and Glenwood Avenue. This work will force the closure of the eastbound lane of Morris Street. 

The sidewalk repair is part of a larger project in the area and the work is expected to take several weeks.
