Linking Downtown and Haig Mill Lake Park

Haig Mill Lake Park in northern Dalton is already one of our community's favorite places to enjoy the great outdoors. Boasting beautiful views of the lake and mountains with a 3 mile hiking/running trail, playground, kayak docks, and fishing piers, it became a landmark soon after opening to the public. It's about to get a lot better, though, as the people of our community will soon have a new way to enjoy it. A project that is in the works will link downtown Dalton's numerous shops, restaurants, and attractions with the park via a system of sidewalks and paved trails. So, if your idea of a good afternoon is taking a bike ride, jog, or walk from the lake to downtown for lunch or a shopping excursion, you'll soon be able to!
