Shaun Scott

Captain Shaun Scott is a Whitfield County native and a graduate of Southeast Whitfield High School.  He joined the Dalton Police Department in 2000 as a patrol officer and served a number of years on the Traffic Enforcement Unit.  Captain Scott was promoted to captain in 2019 and has spent time managing the Criminal Investigations Division and the Administration Division.  Captain Scott holds bachelor's degrees from Covenant College and Liberty University and a master's degree from Columbus State University.  Captain Scott has received specialized management training from FBI LEEDS (Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminar).  Captain Scott is an active member of the Dalton Rotary Club.
