Building Codes Appeals Board

The Building Codes Appeals Board is appointed by the Mayor and Council and also the Whitfield County government. This board hears requests for changes or exceptions to the City and County building codes from home and business owners or developers and then studies the requests before approving or denying them.

The Building Codes Appeals Board does not meet on a regular basis but is called to meet as needed. 

The Building Codes Appears Board is comprised by city appointees Martin Henderson, Buddy King, Gregg Sims and Whitfield County appointees Frank Hogshead, Todd Gavin, and Alan Felker.
