Animal Control Board
The Animal Control Board was created by the Mayor and Council on April 15th, 1991. This board's responsibilities include working with the Mayor and Council and the Animal Control officers to recommend rules and regulations for the operation of any animal shelters in the City as well as standards of care, collection, custody, and disposal of animals at-large and public nuisance animals and the standards of maintenance for hold facilities and guard and sentry dogs.
Board members serve 4-year terms. The board does not meet on a regular basis, but meets as needed.
The Animal Control Board is comprised of Kim Crane, Carolyn Hawkins, Devon Brooks, Carl Puryear, and Chris Stearns.
