Christmas, New Year's Schedules For Garbage, Recycling Collections

The City of Dalton's offices and non-emergency services will be closed on Tuesday, December 24th and Wednesday, December 25th in observance of the Christmas holiday. They will also be closed the following week on Wednesday, January 1st, 2025 in observance of the New Year's Day holiday. 

There will be no garbage and recycling collection on those days. Instead, to ensure all City Residents receive garbage and recycling service for the week, routes will be completed as follows:

Christmas week: 

• Homes usually serviced on Tuesdays will have their garbage and recycling collected on Thursday, December 26th, 2024.  
• Homes usually services on Wednesdays will have their garbage and recycling collected on Friday, December 27th, 2024. 
• The rest of the week's collections will take place as usual.

New Year's week:

• Homes usually serviced on Wednesdays will have their garbage and recycling collected on Thursday, January 2nd, 2025.
• The rest of the week's collections will take place as usual.
