Dalton Court Administrator Sworn In As Association President

The administrator of Dalton's Municipal Court is now also serving as the president of a statewide association for court clerks. Jason James was sworn in on November 7th as president of the Georgia Municipal Court Clerks' Association (GMCCC) at its convention in Savannah.
The GMCCC's mission is to assist municipal court clerks throughout the state in an efford to assure the administrative efficiency of the court, protect the court’s ethical integrity, and help maintain public confidence in the court.

"It has been my goal to promote the significant role that Georgia's municipal courts play in providing access to justice, preserving public safety, and promoting quality of life," James said. "(Serving as GMCCC president) will allow me to continue serving my fellow clerks alongside a talented executive board."
James joined Dalton's Municipal Court in May of 2023. He is the second member of the court to take role in statewide court leadership. Earlier this summer, Municipal Court Judge Rob Cowan was elected president of the Georgia Council of Municipal Court Judges. Cowan is currently serving as president-elect and will serve as the organization's president in 2025.
