Glenwood Ave. Paving Starts Sunday, Work Will Take Place At Night

Repaving work on one of Dalton's busiest corridors is set to start on Sunday, but the work will take place at night to minimize traffic disruptions. The paving work on Glenwood Avenue is the last phase of the City of Dalton's annual LMIG asphalt resurfacing work for 2024.

The work will begin on Sunday evening, September 15th and paving work will take place each night from 7:00 pm until 7:00 am. The work is expected to take approximately one month to finish. Traffic will be permitted to continue on Glenwood Avenue while work is carried out, but some traffic delays are expected with temporary lane closures. Crews will be present to direct traffic around the work zones.
