Firefighter - Fire Department
The City of Dalton currently has openings for the position of firefighter with Dalton Fire Department. Candidates must live within 40 miles of Station #1 located at 404 School Street, Dalton, GA according to Google Maps. Those who do not meet this mileage requirement must relocate within 12 months of hire date. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age by the conclusion of our recruit program and have a high school diploma (or equivalent) with college preferred. Applicants must pass the Candidate Physical Agility Test as required by Georgia Firefighter Standards and Training Council (as amended by Dalton Fire Department). Applicants must complete all requirements set forth by Georgia Firefighter Standards and Training Council for a Georgia certified firefighter by the conclusion of recruit school. Starting base pay is approximately $52,198.64 annually, not including eligible overtime.
