The Dalton Area Convention and Visitors Bureau is seeking a Special Projects Coordinator who will be responsible for marketing and services support for economic development through tourism for the region. Skills desired include but are not limited to intermediate administrative work, managing social media, maintaining web sites, coordinating and maintaining special tourism projects, and related work as apparent or assigned.   Position will report to the Director of Tourism.

Successful candidate will be proficient with Macintosh Computers, Microsoft Office Products, Adobe Products, and Illustrator.  Video editing and photography experience a plus.

High school diploma or GED with coursework in hospitality, marketing, traveling, tourism, public relations, or related field and 3 to 5 years related experience working in hospitality, marketing, traveling, tourism, public relations, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Associates/Technical degree preferred. Salary range: $17.61-$20.51 an hour dependent on qualifications & experience.

Hours are generally from 8:30 – 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Some evenings, weekends, and overnight travel will be required.
