Golf Superintendent - Nob North Golf Course

The City of Dalton, Georgia Parks and Recreation Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Golf Superintendent. This position is responsible for all maintenance operations of the Nob North Golf Course.

Nob North is a par 72 golf course designed by Gary Player and built in 1978. The greens are Tif-Eagle with 419 Bermuda fairways and roughs. The golf course has a mixed topography of rolling hills and flat land with water coming into play on 6 holes. 

Ideal applicants will have a two- or four-year degree in turf management or closely related field. Extensive management and administrative of golf course maintenance is required. Advanced knowledge of the following is preferred: agronomy and turfgrass maintenance for golf courses; basic construction techniques; the characteristics and proper use of various fertilizers, amendments, herbicides, growth regulators, fungicides and insecticides; drainage and irrigation operation.
