Athletics Manager - Recreation Department

The City of Dalton, Georgia Parks and Recreation Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Athletic Manager.  This position is responsible for the administration of all athletic operations, athletic summer camps, and general recreation programming.

Ideal applicants will have a bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation Administration, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related field.  Ideal candidate will also have extensive management and administrative experience in Parks and Recreation, local government or related field including considerable supervisory experience.  Master’s degree in related field is preferred.  However, any equivalent combination of acceptable education and experience may be considered in lieu of Master’s degree.

Professional Certifications are desirable but not required- Certifications are Certified Parks & Recreation Professional (CPRP) and Certified Youth Sports Administrator (CYSA).
