The City of Dalton is currently accepting applications for the position of Admin. Assistant in the City Clerk’s Office.  The ideal candidate will have computer skills with a working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database applications (Microsoft Excel, Word, Access).  A minimum of two years administrative office experience is preferred.  Duties will include reception duties for City Hall, working with the public, performing basic mathematic calculations, collecting cash payments and making change, assisting with the issuing of business licenses/permits and working as backup for other staff.  This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with full benefits.  Minimum starting hourly rate starting at $17.78 per hour depending upon experience.
