Councilmember Harlan Sworn In For Second Term

Councilmember Harlan takes her oath

City Councilmember Annalee Harlan was sworn in for her second term at Tuesday night's meeting of the Mayor and Council. She won re-election last November.

Councilmember Harlan's first term saw a number of achievements, perhaps most notably her leadership role in bringing drive-thru COVID-19 vaccination clinics and later treatment clinics to Dalton to combat the pandemic in our area. In addition to her leadership in public health, Councilmember Harlan also has worked with the rest of the city council on a number of projects including a project to remake the Market Street area and spur new economic growth there.

Councilmember Harlan is a Dalton native with roots in the city that go back four generations. She has a bachelor's degree from Bryan College and worked for more than a decade as a paramedic before opening her own healthcare company, North Georgia Community Hospice.
