City Council Meeting In Special Called Session Monday

The City of Dalton's Mayor and Council will meet Monday night, December 13th at 6:00 pm in a specially called session. The purpose of the meeting is to vote on the adoption of the proposed 2022 budget. 

The budget was presented for its first reading at the Mayor and Council's meeting on December 6th. City Finance Director Cindy Jackson led a presentation from the podium explaining the budget in full. With its second reading, the budget can be adopted at Monday night's meeting by a vote of the council. The full budget document can be viewed by clicking here. 

The Mayor and Council normally meet on the first and third Monday of the month at 6:00 pm. Monday's called session will take the place of the December 20th meeting, however, which is being canceled due its falling on the week of Christmas. The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Mayor and Council will be Tuesday, January 4th due to the city's observance of the New Year's Day holiday on Monday, January 3rd.
